Wintape was founded by a native of Yucheng, Henan Province, China—an area famously known as the “Steel Tape City”, home to a complete steel tape manufacturing ecosystem. Growing up surrounded by the industry, our founder developed a deep understanding of measurement tools, laying the foundation for Wintape’s innovation and expertise.

Pioneering Tailor Tape Development  

This website focuses on Wintape’s tailor tape expertise. In the early days, classic tailor tapes were made from vinyl-coated fiberglass, offering both flexibility and measurement accuracy. As customer expectations evolved, we began researching eco-friendly materials and synthetic fabrics that enhance softness and user comfort.

Today, Wintape proudly stands as China’s first professional-grade tailor tape manufacturer, combining rich production experience with extensive customization capabilities to meet the needs of brands and professionals worldwide.

Our Custom Tailor Tape Process

1. Design & Prototyping

We create designs focused on flexibility, durability, and clear measurement markings, tailored for professional tailors, fashion brands, and sewing specialists.

2. Material Selection

Materials are chosen based on use and durability. Options include PVC-coated fiberglass, polyfiber fabric, and polyester ribbon, ensuring long-lasting performance and comfort.

3. Precision Mold Engraving

Brass molds are engraved with exact measurement scales—cm, inch, fractional, or decimal markings—for consistent, high-quality print that lasts.

4. Roller Printing

Ink is transferred to the tape via roller printing with brass molds, producing sharp, high-contrast, and durable markings that withstand repeated use.

5. Cutting & Finishing

Tapes are cut to standard lengths such as 60 or 120 inches, maintaining precise width and length for professional use.

6. Rolling & Packaging

Each tape is rolled neatly to prevent tangling and can be packaged according to client specifications, ready for distribution or immediate use.
